Summer Homes - Newport, R.I.
A day trip to Newport, R.I. and got to view these awesome "beach homes" that Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt and his contemporaries left behind. The white marble mansion, Rosecliff, was the setting for the film "The Great Gatsby" starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow from the year 1974. These homes seemed to outclass the family's New York City mansions.
